Based on the current annual report from the National Association of Realtors, Florida has garnered the top rank by having 23 percent of sales transactions. The National Association of Realtors (NAR) released their 2014 Profile of International Home Buying Activity last Tuesday. It was stated in that report that foreign buyers of real estate purchases have reached 35% for the year ended in March for nationwide sales. 2013 resulted in $68.2 billion foreign sales of U.S. residential real estate. However, the current year total sales amounted to $92.2 billion, a big jump indeed.

It was further stated that China was a big buyer with $22 billion in purchases of U.S. real estate within a year. The U.S. real estate is indeed offering quite attractive packages for foreign buyers. The pricing is quite competitive, great investment opportunities in the future, and the economic stability of the United States really helped boost the real estate sales.

Chinese citizens are purchasing real estate properties across the nation. California is still topping the list. Followed by:

  • New York (7 percent)
  • Pennsylvania (6 percent)
  • Texas (6 percent)

Other Foreign buyers accounted for the remaining percentages:
